Carol and Hector are no strangers to success. They have achieved remarkable feats and have inspired countless individuals to reach their full potential. As they offer their advice on achieving success, they stress the significance of cultivating a champion's mindset, which encompasses discipline, passion, and perseverance.

 
 
 

Here are the key tips that will take your champion-building skills to the next level:

1.     Invite, Recruit and be Intentional

The first step to building a successful team is to be intentional about both inviting and recruiting. It's not enough to simply extend an invitation without the intention to follow through with recruitment. After all, recruits are the lifeblood of any organization, providing new energy and ideas. As for us, we sometimes find that we miss opportunities to recruit, even when the perfect candidate is right in front of us. We don't see it because we are not intentional. However, if you wake up in the morning and think, "Who can I share this amazing information with today?" you will always have an opportunity to positively impact someone's life.

2.     Timing is Everything

It’s important to remember that not all the fish are hungry. This has helped and made it easier for us to invite. Adopting the SW3 mindset – "Some Will, Some Won't, So What," can help you stay focused on your goals and not get discouraged by rejection. At the same time, it's essential to keep in mind that the right opportunity, timing, and person will eventually come along. So, if someone says no, then we always say, we know it was the right opportunity, but it might not be the right timing for someone. On the flip side, it could be the right timing, but not the right person for us, as well.

3.     Support your Team

One of the most important things you can do as a leader is to support your team. By being up to date with the knowledge and resources, you’re able to guide and assist your team effectively. Not only will you be able to refresh your memory, but you’ll also have the opportunity to learn and teach alongside your team. This creates a sense of camaraderie and fosters strong relationships that motivate and encourage everyone to work together. This approach has been successful for our team since 2012, when we began to duplicate this system. As a result, we went from having only 5-6 agents in the first four months to now having 800-900 agents under our team in 2022.

 
 
I believe that great leaders build great relationships and the moment you build great relationships with your team, that’s when cohesiveness happens within the team. Just like a snowball, the more cohesive it is, the faster it grows.
 
 

4.     Create a Strategy to Work on Production

When it comes to building a successful team, understanding the hierarchy is essential. By analyzing this structure, you can develop a strategy that focuses on production and recruiting, as well as meeting the necessary CFT requirements. Assign your next SVPs. This is a critical step in building a strong and successful team. However, it's not something that should be taken lightly. To ensure that you select the right person for the role, it's important to consider their qualifications carefully. Once we identify potential candidates, we ask them directly if they're interested in the role. If they respond with excitement and certainty, we know we've found the right person. From there, we work closely with them to develop their skills and prepare them for the responsibilities that come with the role. However, if they express hesitation or reluctance, we know that it may not be their time. By taking this approach, we ensure that our SVPs are qualified, motivated, and committed to the success of the team.

 

5.     Do not give up! 

Many people fail to reach their potential, achieve their goals, and become the person they want to be because they give up too soon. It's easy to get discouraged when things don't go according to plan or when obstacles arise. But it's important to remember that success often requires endurance, a plan, and extra effort.

Every great leader will be faced with challenges. But when great leaders are faced with negative situations, they can squash the negativity and propel the team forward to a favourable outcome.

You may be closer than you think to achieving greatness, so don't give up now.
