Reconnected & Ready to Serve!
Greatway Financial celebrated and recognized their Greatway support team this past weekend–Jul 17-18 in our head office in Calgary, Alberta. It was a resounding success based on everyone’s smiling faces and the feedback that was received. The event’s theme was RECONNECT as we seek to unite with all the support team across Canada after being disconnected due to the advent of the pandemic.
The first day began with Human Bingo, an ice breaker game. The highlight of the day was the Stampede style breakfast and carnival games. People had fun riding “horses”, eating, and trying their best on cash-prized games like the Spin the Wheel and Jacob’s Ladder. The day concluded with the different departments introducing themselves and how they contribute to the bigger picture, the goals of Greatway and how they could be of better service.
The second day began with a bus ride to Banff. Everyone had the opportunity to ride the gondola up Sulphur Mountain. Everyone proceeded to explore and have lunch in Downtown Banff, followed by a quick excursion at Lake Minnewanka. Continuing into the evening, dinner was prepared in the Greatway Home, the Antonio residence. Everyone was so impressed with what the Founder and Lead Mentor, Marlon Antonio and his wife, Elsa Antonio have prepared for the support team with the help of some SVPs of Greatway along with other volunteers. The lakeside home looked like it was straight out of a prom, or a graduation ball and the food was of course delightful. After dinner came the recognition and celebration of those individuals who have provided excellent customer service and who have served the longest. As the night concluded, the team was joined by our Lead Mentor to play games that also promoted communication and trust within the team. It was a night of celebration and gratefulness with lots of laughter and tears of joy. There were lots of love and hugs thrown around even as some people needed to fly out back to their provinces.
The event was a remarkable success, and the team was finally reconnected after months of physical disconnection due to the pandemic. We would like to express our gratitude to the volunteers who took time off their day to make this event successful and possible. Greatway Financial would like to thank all the departments for their contribution and loyalty to the visions and goals of the company. We would not be able to do what we do, changing people’s and families’ lives, without you.
