Time Freedom and Financial Freedom - Benefits of Passive Income

Civic Day, according to officeholidays.com, purpose is seemingly just to 'not work’. At Greatway, we have a Civic Day every week for our support team! We believe that "not working" or what we call time freedom, is something to be pursued. That's why we're big proponents of becoming financially literate and educating people about the benefits of passive income. If you can spend your day "not working" while still earning an income, that's simply what having a passive income means.
Imagine your bills and the dollar amount representing them per month. Then, imagine you have passive income of the same amount as your regular earned income. If you are making the same amount of passive income as your bills, you have time freedom. You don't really need to maintain your regular job. You can pursue your passion or be more flexible with your time. Maybe you can even be more philanthropic or try those hobbies you have been putting on the back burner for many years. If you found a way to do this, what would you do? Will you start right away? What are you willing to give up to achieve this kind of freedom, to have time freedom?

How about if we go a step further? Imagine if your passive income amount is beyond your bills. Imagine it's double or maybe even quadruple. You don't need to go to a 9-5 job and still earn an ample income. You have more than enough to afford a lifestyle that you may have dreamt of. Maybe even a lifestyle you thought would only be possible if you won the lottery. You and your family can go on vacation multiple times a year, and you don't have to dread the numbers on your credit cards. Where your kids can do whatever they want for college and not need student loans. Your kids can pursue their dreams without limits. Or maybe just simply not worrying about if you have a roof over your head, food on the table and occasional trips to the mall, to the movies. What if the very thing you are chasing is achievable, but you just haven't found that platform that will enable you to?
Time freedom and financial freedom seems like a faraway dream that many still strive to get to every day. What's important to see is that both paths might be hard so you need to keep your eyes open for the winding curves your journey could take you to.
Learning the benefits of passive income is one of the things that lead to a more fruitful life. Maybe this is also what is needed to have that direction. At times, you might feel lost and just drifting in the different waves of life, but constant learning and embracing change will make the whole journey worthwhile.
