My journey with Greatway Financial has proven itself to be in sync with my beliefs and aspirations.

Prior to Greatway Financial, I was Drilling Fluid and a Cementing Engineer for 20 years, working in several countries with various multinational oil and gas companies.

Since moving to Canada with my family in May 2015, I continued with the same work which required me to fly every 4 weeks to Lagos, Nigeria. I would then return to Canada for 4 weeks. During this time off, I always had the mindset of being engaged and learning things outside of my Oil & Gas industry. I was always looking at different ways that could create a world that would help my family and everyone that I come across. Helping people is a big thing for me.

I knew a former Oil and Gas colleague who was already residing here in Canada. I reached out to him to look at what options there were outside of our field. He then introduced me to the financial services industry. With another company then, I immediately studied and received my license in November 2015. I continued to do the business at that company on a part-time basis due to my work travels. (Related: We All Have The Power To Choose)

Fast-forward to April 2017, my wife came across a lady who was part of Greatway Financial. We decided to see what it was all about. Immediately, I saw great common sense in what was shared. Of course, I had to ask if she made good income in addition to that valuable presentation. She graciously showed me her income of $16,000- which she had achieved only within 3 months of the business. Whereas I had only made $1,130 in the 2 years I’ve spent with this other company. This was a “no brainer”. Right there and then, I applied for the plan along with my entire family. At the same time, I emailed my resignation to the other company. I joined Greatway Financial with the mission to share this wonderful opportunity to lots of professionals and people like myself. That lady today is my indefatigable mentor and Senior Vice President, Helen Uzoka. I am eternally grateful we had crossed paths. (Related: We Should Be A Vessel of Change)

My family and I got approved for the amazing plan. Based on the last 2 years, we are highly satisfied by how well our plans have been performing and the same has been said by our clients.

In the same 2 years I’ve been doing business part-time with Greatway Financial, I finally had a proper platform to help many families. The culture, the environment, the training, it’s all just incomparable. This translated to earning $80,000 compared to the $1,130 that I earned in the previous company. It’s been an even more successful journey because as of January 2020, I became a full-time business owner with Greatway. In the 9 months since then, I was promoted to the Senior Vice President (SVP) level.

My experience has become a big inspiration to myself, my team and others. I am truly grateful for the Greatway Financial opportunity. I’m so happy that my dream of having more people from my community-along the many other communities- experience the best things in life is becoming a reality.

As for the future, I strongly look forward to sharing what I have learned with every single person whom I come across nationwide.

I would like to remind everyone that where we are today, is a function of the decisions we made yesterday. Where we would be tomorrow is a function of the decisions that we make today.
